The Xbox One was released in November 2013. Microsoft marketed the console as the all in one entertainment system, Microsoft also focused on cloud computing, as well as social networking features, and the ability to record and share video clips or screenshots from gameplay, or live-stream directly to streaming services such as Mixer and Twitch. This was very similar to the PlayStation 4 as they also focused on the features. The Xbox one controller was redesigned with a redesigned body, d-pad, triggers which are capable of direct haptic feedback. Each trigger features independent rumble motors called "Impulse Triggers", which allows developers to program directional vibration. One trigger can be made to vibrate when firing a gun, or both can work together to create feedback that indicates the direction of an incoming hit. When the console was first launched it was generally criticized for running games at a technically lower graphical level than the PlayStation 4, but overtime this became less of an issue. The Xbox one sold one million consoles within the first 24 hours, the same as the PlayStation 4. On November 12, 2014, Microsoft announced it had shipped almost 10 million units to retailers worldwide.

Some of the best games for the Xbox One currently include Gears of War 4, Halo 5, Dishonored 2, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Witcher 3, Titanfall 2, Forza Horizon 3, Doom, Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition, Mortal Kombat XL, Middle-Earth: Shadow Of Mordor , Ori and the Blind Forest and many more.

It also includes 12 GB of GDDR5 RAM. Making the most powerful console at this time.
